Diwali celebration photo's!

We had lots and lots of fun celebrating Diwali in FS2 last week!!! Have a look at some of the things we got up to. Many thanks to Tayjus' mum for bringing in all the traditional clothes and traditional food for us to try.

Diwali Festival!!!

FS2 are joining in with the Diwali celebrations that are happening this week. There are lots of fun things going on in class...designing rangoli patterns, mehndi patterns, tasting some traditional food eaten at the celebration and dressing up in traditional clothes to dance to some traditional music!

Kirkstall Abbey trip 'We're going on a Bear Hunt'. July 15th 2010

FS2 had such good fun on their trip to Kirkstall Abbey. We enjoyed exploring the abbey and drawing pictures of what we could see. We then had fun dressing up as monks and other characters from a long time ago.

After lunch the children enjoyed making bears ears and decorating bear collages before getting our explorer hats and magnifying glasses to hunt for the bear!! We found him hiding asleep in the corner of a room...great fun and super behaviour. Well done FS2!
